Thanks Sara for tagging me.
There are 5 rules:
1. post these rules.
2. post a photo of yourself and 11 random things.
3. answer the questions set for you in the original post.
4. create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. go to their blog/twitter and tell them that you've tagged them.

1. My husband and I are going out to a party downtown this Saturday. We hired a babysitter! It is the first time in 2 months we are doing anything together and will probably be the longest time we have seen each other awake in that same amount of time.
2. My husband works swing shifts. In the last 5 weeks he worked 4 weeks of 12 hour night shift, and only one week of daylight 12 hour shift. We rarely see each other.
3. I have a friend I met on the Internet who lives in Arizona who I talk to everysingleday. Her son is only a few weeks younger than Lyla.
4. My bridal party had 5 of my best friends ever. There are only 3 left. And one is my sister in law...so I didn't have a choice. Oh. crap. I mean. My sister in law is the best. ::waves to Stormdog::
5. I absolutely love to design and would do just about anything imaginable to go back to school to learn web.
6. My mom is my best friend in the entire world. I hope one day I can be as selfless, loving, caring and cool as she is. We talk everyday - usually multiple times a day. She's my biggest fan.
7. I met my husband at a bar, while out with my then boyfriend (who loved Star Wars, so that never would have worked anyway)
8. I lost a baby September 1st, 2009 - yes...your math is correct. I got pregnant with Lyla my next cycle!
9. I love love love photos. They mean the world to me.
10. My dog attempted to puke at 3:30 this morning. While gagging, he woke my husband up who did a round-off; back hand spring; front hand spring tuck out of bed and landed on his feet, grabbed the dog and got him off the bed and carpet all in one swift ninja like move. I think he may have mentally throat punched the dog and kicked the puke back in, because the dog never did throw up. All of that with NO glasses on! Then we both had to pee. I needed a drink. All of that woke up Lyla, who had no interest in going back to sleep, ever.
11. I think I know what hell would be like - a world with no Bubble Guppies or Sesame Street.
1. If you could love in a different time period, which would you choose and
why?
60's-70's. Love the music, clothes, lifestyle, the simplicity and complexity of it. And there was no cell phone bill, Directv bill, iphone 5 and 5 gs and 5 gsx2.67940. I daydream about that time at least 50% of my day.
2. What is your favorite color? Is it also your favorite color to wear?
To design with - black and white. If it looks good in black and white, it will look amazing in color.
To wear - black.
...I see a trend
for my house - neutrals with bright splashes of color.
in general - blue
3. What inspires you?
The Internet. you can learn the basics of anything you want on it and find tons of inspiration.
The Internet. you can learn the basics of anything you want on it and find tons of inspiration.
The beach. My mind just goes wild there, mostly because I'm drinking the whole time.
Anything around can inspire a design, colors on a billboard, 2 cars together at a red light may inspire my next color combo.....anything. I started using the notepad on my iphone to jot ideas down and I have seen an improvement in my designs.
4. Who is the first person you want to call to
share good news?
MY MOM. ALWAYS. even if it's like "Lyla took a HUGE poop and I just can't believe something that big came out of something that little. is this normal mom?" and then I send her a picture.

She loves me. a lot.
5. What is the one sense that you couldn't live
without?
Smell. I smell everything. I can smelly a shitty diaper from the basement. Imagine how many times I would have gotten things dirty during a diaper change had I not went in fully prepared.
6. What's your favorite children's book?
The Grover book "There's a monster at the end of this book" weird. I know. I know. There was another one too. It had illustrations that I can still see in my head....but I have no clue what the name of it was.
7. Where do you see
yourself in 5 years?
Here. In my cubicle. Lyla in school. OHMYFLIPPINGLORD. Lyla in school in 5 years? oh god.
Hopefully sleeping again.
Another kid? or not. leaning towards not right now. Things have been rough.
And in our current house, but with a new kitchen...and will my master bathroom ever be completed?
8. How did you get your current job?
I interned for 6 months. $10 an hour and NO benefits. I walked out of a job at Pepsi making a ton more but not designing. It paid off. I'm here no making more than $10 an hour, the best benefits in the state of PA and tons of time off.
9. Why do you blog?
I don't want to EVER forget this journey. and I'm pretty damn forgetful. And apparently have a pretty good potty mouth going on today.
10. When did you first think of yourself as an "adult"?
I still haven't. Can you baleed that?
11. If you had three wishes, what would they be?
I wish that Lyla would sleep all night until 7 tomorrow morning.
I wish I could see my husband more and have him be more a part of our life.
I wish for warm weather and no snow, ever.
I have nobody to tag, so......how about some Lyla pics?
I just went to upload some and? I have none. Seeee. proof of how exhausted I really am.
Hurry home mama. This mama needs you...BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDD!
